I'm very glad you got to attend the convention and see your son! Best of luck with the job search.

Beautiful capture of snow on the olive bush! Been cold for all you Southern folk ...

Coldest temperatures since we bought this house! I'm fighting to keep the garage above freezing as there's a bathroom out there. Next year I'll have to contemplate insulation and better heating units.

I’ve heard that insulating the garage door is relatively easy and makes a big difference. Might be worth investigating.

I think (and this is so theoretical right now) I can put styrofoam sheets on the garage door. The big gaps for drainage (the garage is designed to allow flash-flooding to flow through and out) are going to be interesting, I'm thinking foam or thick felt flaps.

From what I've seen, that's basically what the kits are. Though the material is either "stabilized" or wrapped so that bumping into the insulation doesn't immediately degrade it ... and create a mess. I looked into the idea for my garage, but the garage is a free-standing brick structure. I don't heat it often enough for insulation to pay off. As for the drainage gaps ... better you than me ;-) Probably has to be flaps ??
