I’ve got to admit, this challenge is kicking my tushie. I love doing it, don’t get me wrong. But my life is full and overflowing. Fitting in hours of writing time is nigh impossible some weeks. Which is why you get super-short fiction, or even poetry (you have no idea how many years since I last wrote poetry and I am so rusty). Also, I’m going to start calling this Tako Tuesday, since y’all inform me that the Japanese for octopus is tako, and that’s perfect for tentacle taco!
This week I managed a whole short story. I finished it, formatted it, made up a cover, and then uploaded it to kdp and hit the publish button. Everyone should be able to buy their copy by morning. Oh, and if you haven’t yet read Farmhand, the first Bluehills story, I highly recommend you do that while you wait, as this is a direct sequel to it.
For those of you who are paid subscribers to my substack, you don’t have to wait, you wonderful people you. Just keep scrolling.
I hope you love reading this as much as I loved writing it!
