I was sitting by the cookbook shelf, leafing through books looking for a pretzel recipe the other day, and was struck by some of the illustrations in a 1950s book.
I’m equally amused and appalled at the sheer complexity and weirdness (to my modern palate) of these recipes.
Which won’t stop me from making the almond pretzels some time, just for fun!
I may explore the cookbook shelves with you all from time to time, when I’m looking for a topic and pressed for time as I was today. Who knows what we’ll discover!
