Cedar, I've been referencing Part 3 in a probably futile attempt to explain to morons why investigations of all the fraud (all sorts) is taking time before the arrests and trials they're demanding. And you didn't even go into any details of electronic / financial forensics, which can take even longer.
Yes it can take much longer. The electronic/financial was never going to be my specialty, so I have rather neglected it in this series, I'm afraid. It's is all a long, slow process, with specific steps that have to be taken in order to legally collect evidence, and make sure it is admissable in court, and one misstep can kick over the whole chain of evidence.
Electronic/financial IS my background, starting with a double major in accounting and IS mumblety years ago. I'm not that much of a writer, but if you write an appendix, I'll be glad to beta read it.
