Like so many of these comics, this was pulled straight from real life. And it’s happened more than once! You’ll likely see more on this theme (tail marks, etc.) as I continue. Just shut the studio door, you might be thinking. I would, but there’s a cat flap in it, a relic of when the studio was Navy Boy’s bedroom before he moved out. The latch on the cat flap is broken, due to a certain stubborn cat... that should probably be a strip all it’s own, yeah?
Most of the time, if I pick Toast up and cuddle her, or drape her over my shoulder which is her preference, I can work with the other hand. Or she’ll deign to allow me some desk space while she birdwatches through the window. *sigh*

Can you draw a little dog doing a happy dance on top of sound-asleep Mom?!? For those who don't know, my little Rat Terrier, Charlotte, spends her nights outside - her choice. She has two doghouses and a couple of sheds to sleep in, and three of her now-grown puppies for company. But she is always so happy to see me when she comes in the house in the morning, and quite frequently, youngest daughter Juniper (Cedar's Little Sister) is up earlier than I am, and lets Charlotte in while I'm still in bed. I am not, however, usually still asleep, LOL! This morning, I didn't even hear the little four-foot thumping up the stairs to the attic, where I sleep. It's not a *bad* way to wake up - really!
Given that it's con season I'm picturing a cat in suitcase strip. I'm loving the splash of color in this strip.
