Math and Heinlein
I had a moment in Math class yesterday where this quote came to me, and then I put on a stiff upper lip and kept going. I'd made a crack before class started about being a professional artist, at least that doesn't need math… But as painful as I know this is going to be, it's good for me, right?
"Anyone who cannot cope with mathematics is not fully human. At best, he is a tolerable subhuman who has learned to wear his shoes, bathe, and not make messes in the house.” -- Robert A Heinlein
Also, I will attempt to stop whining on the blog. I am a professional artist, on several levels. I'm going to be a mad scientist in due time, but like being born, it's a stretching, forced, painful period of time in one's life. Also, messy, shi**ty, and bloody.
I didn't write fiction yesterday, but I did make a balloon Imperial Walker, and I made a lot of kids happy during my two-hour performance at the restaurant, and I helped a couple of fellow students find Khan Academy, and how to sign up for tutoring. So I was productive, and I will be again today. Anatomy & Physiology class, yay!
