New Year, New Name
So I'm getting ready to renovate a few things around here. One, and the biggest, the one that has been holding me back is simply picking a name. From the beginning, my publishing imprint had a name, one that was based in a life that shifted drastically. After the upheaval, in the new landscape, I was too busy rebuilding other parts of the life to change the name. Now, though, I'm past ready to reshape the business entity to incorporate all the aspects of what I do under one umbrella.
The problem is: what do I call it? I'm hesitant to set a name in place that doesn't cover all the things. It's a fairly good-sized umbrella. I'm a writer, both of fiction and non-fiction. I'm an artist, in multiple forms both 2D and 3D, as well as digital and tangible. I'm a photographer, although that is more in support of the other things I do than it is selling photos, although I probably can, and should, start doing stock photos. I'm a graphic designer. I'm occasionally an editor, although that was more in the past I could easily do it again. I'm all those things, and while some of them I may do more often than others, I want to create an entity name to encompass all of it.
I don't ask much, do I?
I'll take suggestions gladly. The blog is CedarWrites, but that's insufficient for the company. I sell art as Cedarlili, which is a portmanteau of my first and middle names. I've joked about writing for Gently Press'd, with this as a logo:
