Space Dragon
Between the bulk of their own ship, and the vast formation of Others, which was slowly breaking apart and heading for them, it appeared out of the empty space. Streamers of light and not-light undulating in an eerie coherence, the vast body of it coruscating as it moved between them, the Bouler's Dragon never even acknowledged either ship by shifting in it's winding course. Drec lifted Liara up to the plascreen, and she pressed her tiny fingers against it.
"Booful." She said, then looked up at him, smiling. Her dark ringlets framed a face that would be so much like her mother's... his heart contracted painfully. "Da, wanna talk to it."
He set her down again. "Can't, Liara dearling. They don't even seem to admit we mere humans exist."
She pouted. "Do essist."
"Yes, you do, but if you don't mind teacher, we will both be in trouble." He reached for her hand, and they turned away from the streamers of light that were already beginning to fade back into space. He was glad they'd had the dragon, no matter what happened with the Others.
