The Door Into Summer
The dog and I are both looking for it, today. Heinlein's classic tale of time travel, the hard way, inspired me to create a piece of art for a friend a while back, and I thought I would share today. The dragons are obviously not part of the story, but his dog - now ours - Tricksy, hates rain, and baths. So my door into summer features her, galloping happily, off leash and in hot pursuit of a squirrel, or perhaps a groundhog. Today she got both a bath and rain, poor girl. Like her, I'd like a little sun, and a walk. Oh, well, I did write well over three thousand words of Trickster Noir so far today.
