Update(ish)
Mom's new farm in Kentucky.
I'm alive. We're all alive, and everyone's good. Well, ok, for values of good - the First Reader and I are working more than we'd like, and the Ginja Ninja is nursing a double ear infection. But hey! we're making money, and she has 5 weeks to graduation from high school.
Anyway, full steam ahead (and that's a pun on what I'm doing at work, but I won't talk about it much). I'll be back to blogging regularly given time. I've been slipping in a little writing time, but focusing more on the fiction, which I figured is what most of you want more from me.
There will be another update tonight, hence the ish part. In the meantime...
Some of the moving crew eating in Mom's kitchen. It's, um, a blank slate for her to set up like she wants it!
Taking a break from unloading the big truck. Mom's wearing plaid, here, and her sister (all in blue) drove the 26' uHaul while Mom drove her truck from Oregon to Kentucky. They were accompanied by my 15yo daughter (Junior Mad Scientist), my sister, my cousin (16), and three large dogs. It was quite the adventure, but they made it!
The header photo is the view from Mom's new house. I think she plans to name the farm Kamarie Farm, and she's already got Icelandic chickens, and will have goats soon.
