Many people who know only one language have issues understanding why people of differing languages think differently. I used to study Russian (I have forgotten most of what I learned) and was surprised how close their word for red is to their word for beautiful. Because of that, red is considered the beautiful color.

Red features heavily in their art, as well. I always wondered if that was also due to it being a 'warm' color, and theirs a cold land.
