I’ve been busy for several days, busier than usual that is. I’d planned to write more on Luminous Citadel for you all, but it hasn’t happened. I’ve got to vote, and have an evening meeting, so I don’t know that it will happen tonight. We will see!
Anyway. Have a good day, don’t watch the news, get off social media. Go outside and smell the flowers, or scuffle through the fallen leaves and sniff deeply of the autumnal scents if that’s what you’ve got. Let the sun fall on your face.
We finally got rain, three inches in three days. I’m a happy gardener - planted seeds after the first day and they got all washed around by the second day of heavy rain, so that will be chaos when they start coming up. Should be fun.
Carrots, parsnips, turnips, beets, peas, and green onions. All do fairly well in cold weather, and I can cover the beds if it snows. So long as the ground doesn’t freeze (unlikely here) I should have a garden year round. This would be better planted a month earlier, but it was both too hot and too dry. You work with what you have, because life isn’t perfect.
No matter what, spring will come, and the seeds will sprout, and there will be flowers again. You just have to plant’em.
Now, I’m going to go stand in line to cast my ballot, as is my privilege in this United States of America.
The rain was certainly a welcome event.
This was a wonderful, uplifting, positive message on a day when many are exhibiting the classic signs of stress and frustration.
Thank you.
