Years ago, I read a news article that talked about police reports involving "Domestic Disturbances" (ie fights between husbands & wives).
While there were plenty of times when the police couldn't tell "who started it", when they could tell, it was split evenly between "he started" and "she started".
Of course, most known cases of abuse toward men are rarely physical abuse. [Frown]
That's not accurate. Physical abuse is statistically just as common in cases where the victim is male, even if the abuser is female. Female abusers are far more likely to use weapons. Males are less likely to admit to physical abuse publicly, including in the ER. Female abusers are actually far more likely to admit to physical violence if the victim is male. They know that they will rarely face legal or social sanctions.
