Hopefully with enough pressure, you'll get answers.

Yeah, I know at this point the silence is an answer...but wow....

I hope tomorrow is a better day.

I like the drawings. Are they your originals?

Also agree about not wanting belly to stick out farther than boobs ;-)

it's a goal! I'm told it is harder at my age to do it, which only makes me more determined.

Yes, my designs - for this rapid work of a daily aphorism I'm generally rendering with an ai tool, then finishing with Affinity Photo., which is a great timesaver. Once I get the art studio set back up (it's chaos right now and Toast keeps stealing paintbrushes) I'll get more done traditionally.

Sorry, never mind. I figured out who it was who said she liked saxophone. 😏

Did you say you like saxophone?

As far as running away, I'm glad you had that lovely "run" the other day with First Reader. I hope you have another one soon. As far as other things I have your back if you need it. I have vacation time and you are not that far from me if you need me there in person.

I’m very glad, too. It was lovely. The rest of it shouldn’t be too horrible, the kitchen stuff is annoying, possibly expensive, but not a threat to life and limb so it’s minor in the scope of things. The other stuff is, well, sadly part of doing the work I do.

Hang in there, you're better than this. People you've never even met know you by your quality and character.

I'm surprised you were worried about needing to explain the 4th. Maybe it is proof I'm an old man but that's a saying I've heard for decades.

As for the other, I know there has been a response. I'm sorry how it went down.

Finally, are you going to do a picture book of the aphorisms? I'd be very interested in it based on the paintings. I love the watercolors for these things.

These are all excellent!

A much wiser person once pointed out that some people disappear from our lives because they cannot go where we're going, while others go ahead to wait for us. It always hurts to find that people we thought were friends are in the first category, that they cannot share the rest of the journey with us. I pray for them, but I don't look back in regret because I know I did what I could.

I admit that i was wrong on the issue of AI at first, and I'm grateful that folks like you were able to explain it to me, Ms. Cedar. 🙇‍♂️

Sorry for your loss of a friend.

I giggle snorted at the boobs before belly. I had a completely different take on where that was going

According to Raconteur Press, your cover design got dropped from the nomination list because someone said you used fakery (i.e., AI) in your cover design. You seem too talented to resort to such measures. I hope it's not true.

You are the best, Cedar.

Go to bed; get some good sleep - tomorrow is a fresh day and problems from today may well gain a better perspective.

Then again, you've already shown the wisdom you have! I am very sorry for you that this is going on; I can only imagine how it feels and I know my own reaction would be to run and hide too, especially when it is so....public. But I hope you also can find comfort in the number of folks who are rallying behind you, and I truly believe that someone with your experience and skill to make such beauty will come out stronger and more lovely on the other side.

I very much appreciate the example of class and restraint you have given and look forward to seeing more of the lovely artwork you do - using all the tools you have available - and seeing what you create for future covers!
