When I plan out time for a project I generally double whatever time I feel it should take me. As for time off, I struggle with that, especially since chemo. I end up napping instead of relaxing or catching up on household chores.
Thanks. I feel pretty good, other than still getting tuckered out more easily than before. I'm not exactly sure if that's from the chemo/radiation, or just crossing the 50 barrier.
And yeah, that map in my head is at least 20 years out of date. The '80s were twenty years ago...uhmmm, don't bother correcting me. There's no way The Matrix is 25 years old, even with all the crappy sequels.....
I hope it helps you! I wind up with about half my Sundays off by that method, just how it falls with everything. There is something to working and then resting for a day.
I too am walking that tightrope currently, and trying not to have it snap and become a noose. My signal isn't email, it's answering the phone, and not writing things down in my calendar. When those start becoming a big struggle, I know I'm close.
I've been trying out these green glasses for a couple of weeks now, for help with stress and my chronic migraines, they are helping. I also have a green lightbulb in the bedroom that I sit in for the morning routine and the evening routine, and it seems to be helping some, too. (You have to look for green light therapy, not just green bulbs). But, one of the things the science is based on is finding the light spectrum of sunlight filtering through forest leaves, that we need that green nature.
As you surmised at the beginning of the post, you are not alone.
Rest, and then rest some more. Getting one’s brain to go still and simply be is so very, very hard to do, but keep at it. Cuddle up with hubby, Toast, and a good book or five. Before you know it, you’ll feel refreshed.
Fill your bucket, Ms. Cedar. In the Alpha Mercs, we call it "taking a sabbatical." Enjoy yours.
And I totally understand how you feel about FB. All the drama drags on me like a lead sinker from a fishing line. Eventually, I'll take a sabbatical from that platform.

I hope your recovery is going well.
I know I'm having to reconsider what I can do now, the map in my head is still twenty years out of date.

I just had a scan on Friday and will see the oncologists on Nov. 1. I'm not expecting any major news.
I see my own life here in so many ways. I’ll have to try the DAY OFF technique. Thanks!

I happen to know you have some good James Hendryx books, take some off time to relax and read for fun.
I hope you don't even see this because you are resting. Please don't even respond.
